For many, hometown nightclubs evoke hazy memories of garish furniture, cheap drink and sticky carpets. The state of its interior is often so evocative that it overshadows any memory of what music was actually played, the DJ or the programming. These types of nightclubs appear to be a hangover from the traditional lounge clubs of the 60s and 70s.
