Welcome to the weekly digest of the most talked about stories from adidas News.
This week, we turn the spotlight on the core of our legacy: our deep obsession with athletes, with innovation that pushes performance and sport forward, and forever setting new standards.
Recognition comes in many forms. This one is a major one:
adidas was ranked No. 7 on Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies and No. 1 in Advertising & Marketing – the only sports company in the top 50. The two sides of adidas have always gone hand in hand. The deeper the roots in sport, the further culture can grow from them.
Innovation kept rolling with the reveal of a new Innovation Lab at our Portland headquarters, where we welcomed this year's top NFL Draft prospects. The future of on-field product innovation for the next generation of athletes has never looked brighter.
And speaking of bright moments - at March Madness, we introduced a revolutionary 3D‑printed basketball shoe, that sets a new benchmark precision‑engineered performance footwear. Welcome to the future feel of movement.
In running, just days after revealing our brand new all-round super trainer, the Hyperboost Edge – unlocked in 10 steps, we pushed performance even further, with the Supernova Rise 3 Adaptive, our first running shoe tested and created with and for athletes with disabilities, inspired by our very own Chris Nikic.
And no, that’s still not all: Downtown LA traffic came to a stop as we marked the return of the iconic Trefoil on the FIFA World Cup Away jerseys - its first appearance in design in 36 years. We may be biased in calling it one of our most beautiful World Cup collections yet but explore it yourself and let us know if you disagree.
