Three cities, multiple narratives

Local libraries are vital places that help shape and share a diversity of perspectives, offering a safe space for queer narratives to be accessed and cultivated in community.
In celebration of these institutions, this year’s Aesop Queer Library will open branches in Los Angeles and New York City, including mobile editions at select stores. Meanwhile, more intimate community gatherings will take place in Toronto.

For over a century, the ACLU has been instrumental in fighting censorship and advocating for freedom of expression. With local libraries increasingly threatened by book bans and other challenges, the Aesop Queer Library continues its collaboration with the ACLU to champion and cherish these spaces.
