Thankfully, my habits have improved over the years. Yes, partly because I always have my air up bottle filled with cold sparkling water (the BEST flavor experience—especially with Orangeade) at my desk, but also because I now understand the details that truly make a difference:
1. Size doesn't matter: Most adults, no matter their size, need at least 80 oz of water daily to stay properly hydrated.
2. Timing does: We tend to drink too little in the morning, which can lead to brain fog and fatigue. Try to chug a bit cup right after waking up—I promise you’ll notice the difference!
3. Small deficits add up: Even being dehydrated by just 2% (about 2 oz) can impact your physical and mental performance.
4. Thirst isn't always reliable: By the time you feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated.
5. Double up on your coffee: Coffee’s great – but don’t make it your only fluid! For every cup of coffee, aim to drink at least twice the amount of water.
Oh, and we’re here to help you. In fact, a recent clinical trial showed that you can double your hydration in 4 weeks by drinking with air up. 💡
So, , if you're like me and perfecting your hydration routine takes some time, don’t worry. Start with small steps, and you'll feel a difference today and thank yourself later. Cheers to staying hydrated!
Bye,
Lena
P.S. I'm on my third bottle of the day while writing this to recover from last night's Oktoberfest team event. 😅
