| Expanding public lands in Texas |
| Over in West Texas, the Heath Canyon Ranch has officially joined the public lands family. Once a private tract along the Rio Grande, it’s now part of the Black Gap Wildlife Management Area — opening up new access for hikers, paddlers, and wildlife lovers.¹
|
| Protecting the Everglades in Florida |
| Further down the Gulf, The Miccosukee Tribe has stepped into Florida’s conservation spotlight, working to expand a wildlife corridor that spans millions of acres in the Everglades. It’s a project they see as preserving nature and protecting their heritage at the same time.²

| Preserving ancestral lands in North Dakota |
| Together, the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation have established the Three Affiliated Tribes National Park, which will offer recreation opportunities like hiking, wildlife viewing, kayaking, and hiking.³ The park borders Little Missouri State Park in North Dakota’s Badlands rugged Badlands.
