Music beats TV noise
Researchers found dogs relaxed best with classical music: slow harp glissandi, mellow piano adagios, or a gentle 2-violin/cello/clarinet chamber piece in D major at about 60 BPM.
Classical music helped them:
💤 Relax more, bark less
❤️ Lower heart rate & stress
😴 Spend up to 50% more time at rest
Leaving on a sitcom for "human noise" isn't meaningful to dogs. Your voice matters to them. Random people... not so much.
How to set up your home “dog spa”
1. Volume = whisper. Dogs hear higher pitches better than we do—keep it cozy, not concert-hall loud.
2. Pick the right music. Solo harp, slow piano, or sparse chamber music are your go-tos.
3. Add nature accents. Birdsong or light rain sounds help mask sudden bangs and keep pet's calm.
