It was just another quiet morning walk along the shore of New York's Long Island sound.
The waves rolled in softly, and Storm - a lovable Golden Retriever who "won’t even retrieve a tennis ball" according to his owner Mark - was lazily trotting along. |

Storm froze. His eyes locked on something in the water - a small shape struggling against the current. |

Storm nudged it, licking its ears, refusing to leave its side - until the baby finally lifted its head.
That day, a “lazy” dog who wouldn’t fetch a ball reminded everyone... |
