In the 1920s, in the heart of bustling Tokyo, there was a dog named Hachikō. Every day, Hachikō would walk with his owner, Professor Hidesaburō Ueno, to Shibuya Station.
There, Hachiko would sit patiently as the professor boarded his train for work. Then, every evening, like the good dog he was, he would walk himself to the station to patiently wait for his owner to return.
Until one fateful day, the professor didn’t come back.
Tragically, Professor Ueno passed away while at work.
Hachikō, of course, didn't understand. He only knew that the train station is where his beloved professor would return.
And so, every evening, for nearly a decade, Hachiko made the journey to and from the station... alone.
There, he would sit in the same spot, watching the trains, waiting for the day the person he loved most in the world would step off and greet him.
