Well There!,
There’s a reason they call it hump day…
That’s why, a few years ago, I made a radical shift: I completely blocked off every Wednesday on my calendar. No calls. No meetings. Just pure, uninterrupted time to dive deep into the projects that matter most.
I even encouraged my team to try it.
At first, people thought it was crazy. But this one simple change transformed my week. Instead of dreading Wednesday, I started looking forward to it. It became my day to create, solve problems, and make real progress on big projects — without that nagging feeling of impending interruptions.
And here’s a little personal insight: as someone with ADHD, there’s nothing worse than seeing a 2pm meeting on my calendar. It means I’ll spend the entire morning procrastinating on deep work, busying myself with easy tasks while anxiously watching the clock.
“I’ll start the real work after the call,” I tell myself. (Narrator: She won’t.)
That’s exactly why we’re launching Winning Wednesday ( the newsletter you’re reading now!)
Because here's what we've learned from thousands of high achievers like you: Success isn't built on grand Monday declarations. It's built on Wednesday resilience. It's forged in those mid-week moments when you choose to reset, refocus, and keep moving forward.
Every Wednesday, you’ll receive a power-packed dose of:
- Quick wins — for work, at home, and beyond
- Evidence-based insights on productivity, relationships, and well-being
- Actionable challenges that build momentum in every area of your life
- Curated resources, tools, and favorite books to inspire and support your journey
Think of it as your go-to guide for making steady, meaningful progress — across work, home, and life.
Your First Wednesday Challenge
Take 5 minutes right now to write down your "win" from the week so far. It doesn't matter how small. Maybe you:
- ✅ Finally sent that email you've been avoiding
- ✅ Said “no” to an extra commitment so you could focus
- ✅ Completed a quick task that had been on your list for ages
🤔 Why this matters:
Research shows that acknowledging small wins increases your motivation and performance. Each small victory releases dopamine, which not only makes you feel good but also motivates you to tackle the next challenge.
I’ve been revisiting Cal Newport’s Deep Work, a game-changer for anyone aiming to get more meaningful work done.
Newport argues that our ability to focus deeply is a superpower in today’s distracted world, and cultivating it can transform not just your productivity, but your entire approach to work.
(If you're curious, here's my book notes of the core ideas. Worth the 5-minute read.)
