Hey Team, By now you know that routine and consistency are the name of the game when it comes to reaching your health and fitness goals. If you’re moving daily, getting plenty of sleep, keeping stress at a minimum and dialing in nutrition, you’re on the path to success. What if there was a superfood shake to serve as the cherry on top of a fully optimized day? Hold onto your hats because we’ve cracked the code on our favorite power smoothie yet. This, in my humble opinion, is the equivalent of “Michael’s Secret Stuff” from Space Jam—excluding the fact that this is no placebo and that it won’t turn you into a monster. (Well, I guess the latter isn’t false, as it will help with your gains.) Without further ado, meet the super shake that does it all: Ingredients:
- 6 oz coconut water
- 25-30g protein powder
- 5g creatine
- 5g L-glutamine
- 5g hemp seed
- 5g flax seed
- ½ cup strawberries
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ cup raspberries
- ½ cup greens (kale, spinach, etc.)
- 1 scoop yogurt of choice, unflavored or vanilla
- Dash of organic cinnamon
Directions: - Pour coconut water into the blender first.
- Add flax seed, hemp seed, protein powder, creatine and L-glutamine. Allow these to sit within the liquid solution to aid in absorption when ingesting.
- Add in fruit.
- Add yogurt scoop.
- Sprinkle cinnamon.
- Finish with greens.
- Mix until all contents are blended.
- Pour and enjoy.
This combo serves as the perfect mix for both protein and fiber intake. Additional add-ins like flax and hemp are rich in omega-3s and over time have incredible health benefits when used daily.
