Q: Who are you and what do you do?
A: “My name is Tommy Pomatico. I'm a fitness professional and entrepreneur. I run my own online coaching business where I help busy individuals—especially high-level professionals—build lean muscle, shed body fat, and stay consistent through efficient, no-fluff strategies.”
Q: What prompted you to enter this field of transforming lives?
A: “I got into fitness when I was 13 because I was overweight. I didn’t feel confident in my own skin and starting to train changed everything for me—physically, mentally, emotionally. It gave me control, discipline, and a sense of identity. Since then, I’ve been obsessed with helping others experience the same transformation. I know firsthand how powerful fitness can be—not just for your body, but for your entire life. That’s why I coach—because I’ve lived through the struggle, I’ve done the work, and now I get to guide others through it.”
Q: What’s your top tip for gaining muscle?
A: “Train with progressive overload and stop under-eating. You can’t grow muscle without forcing the body to adapt, and you can’t adapt without fuel. Most people aren’t weak because of bad workouts—they’re weak because they never eat or train with enough intent to force change.”
Q: What’s your top tip for shredding fat?
A: “Stop relying on endless cardio. Let your diet create fat loss, and let training protect your muscle. Instead, dial in your nutrition to create a deficit, and keep lifting heavy to tell your body, “Don’t burn this muscle.” That’s how you get lean—not just lighter.”
Q: What advice do you have for busy parents, or folks who juggle work, family, and other social obligations yet want to stay in tip top shape?
A: Don’t overcomplicate it—consistency beats perfection every time.
You don’t need to train for 2 hours or eat out of Tupperware 24/7. What you need is a structure that fits your life: 3–4 focused workouts a week, simple meals built around protein, and daily habits like walking, sleeping enough, and managing stress.
It’s not about doing everything—it’s about doing the right things consistently, even when life is hectic. That’s how real people stay in shape.
Q: What’s your advice for someone just getting started on a fitness goal?
A: “Start simple, stay consistent, and don’t chase perfection.
You don’t need a perfect plan—you need a plan you can stick to. Focus on the basics: lift weights a few times a week, eat whole foods with enough protein, walk more, and get good sleep. That alone can take you further than most people ever go. Don’t get distracted by trends or try to overhaul your entire life overnight. Build small wins, stack them, and let momentum carry you. The results will come if you stay patient and show up.”
