Hey Team,
Detox. It’s become an overly saturated word used in the health industry for decades. Here’s the thing- you have organs for that.
Your liver, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas and whole body are actively ridding your systems of foreign substances and toxins every waking minute of the day.
We’re acutely aware that no single supplement is going to do ALL of that work for you. However, there are supporting supplements as well as physical action you can take to give your body the help it needs to get the job done optimally.
So, if you’re still feeling the grunge of one too many turkey legs or spiked apple ciders, here’s a few things to get you back in the game.
Bring in the greens! It’s no shocker that Thanksgiving comes with its plethora of carbs. They don’t call it the holiday of gains without reason. Balance yourself back out with leafy greens and vegetables to aid digestion and repair the gut. Start your day with a greens powder before solid food intake. Check out our
Signature Greens, now available in mixed berry 🍓or mango pineapple. 🍍
Sweat it out: Put those carbs to work! While glycogen stores usually only remain in the body for 1-2 days after consumption, I have a hunch you’ve been munching on leftovers this weekend. Hit the pavement or the rack first thing Monday. There’s nothing more motivating than a solid movement session to get your mind right for the week ahead. If you went a little too hard at the annual football scrimmage, hit the sauna to cleanse the organs. Fun fact: your skin is the largest organ in your body! Sauna or steam is a great way to clean pores out and detoxify from an extra sugary weekend. 🚿🧖♀️
Hydrate: A teammate of mine used to repeatedly scream aloud “hydrate or diedrate!”, and while the expression itself is blunt, the sentiment is pure. Keep yourself hydrated for the best cellular function. The easiest way to measure hydration is by taking a peek after urination. If you’re noticing a light or pale yellow, you’re doing great. Anything living in the darker yellow, amber or orange (or darker 😱), get some H2O, stat. Remember that plain water may not be 100% absorbed if that’s all that you’re consuming throughout the day. Sodium, potassium and magnesium are excellent minerals to periodically pair for prime absorption rates. 💧
Call for backup: We all need a support crew when it comes to staying healthy, especially during the holidays. Like I said in tip #1, a happy gut is a happy body. A happy body is a happy mind. Start with optimizing your gut health to see translation throughout the body. Supplements can’t cancel out those cookies but when paired with a clean diet, consistent movement and optimal hydration, they can provide you with the missing component you may have been searching for. The Cleanse or

Enjoying the holiday season with friends and family can be some of the most enjoyable memories of the year. Don’t stress your day of indulgences or place too much weight on the guilt train. Practice having a plan in place when it’s time to get back into the routine of chasing fitness goals.
Until next week. 👋
