June
Soon, we bid adieu to Solid Gold. You have until July 6 to catch designs by Anna Sui, Christian Dior, The Blonds, Yves Saint Laurent, and more in this “visual feast for the eyes” (Vogue). Put on something that makes you feel sparkly and get your tickets for this shimmering exhibition today!
You know what they say: When one door closes, another one opens. Enter Christian Marclay: Doors, the conceptual artist’s latest cinematic exploration of the meaning behind everyday objects. Three other exciting exhibitions also go on view in June:
- Melissa Joseph: Tender, transforming our outdoor plaza into a space for gathering and reflecting
- Red Grooms, Mimi Gross, and The Ruckus Construction Co.: Excerpts from “Ruckus Manhattan,” a fantastical and hilarious tribute to New York City
- Rubin Museum Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room, a lamplit sanctuary amid the bustle of Brooklyn
In case traveling to Tibet, to 1970s NYC, and through decades of cinema aren’t enough, this fall you can visit Venice through Monet’s eyes. Tickets for Monet and Venice go on sale in two days.
Whatever you’re coming to see, we’re excited to open the door for you!

Food for thought
Come for the exhibitions, stay for the refreshed menu in our Café—the perfect sunlit spot to discuss art with friends.
The beloved Aunts et Uncles x Brooklyn Museum food truck is also back on the plaza. Its classic biergarten menu with a vegan twist features a highly recommended “lobster” roll.
The Brooklyn Museum Shop has everything from water bottles to hats to tote bags.
Support your favorite museum and look cool doing it.
