Threads of gold, born in Brooklyn
We’ve joined forces with HEAD OF STATE, a New York–based contemporary fashion brand led by award-winning designer Taofeek Abijako, on a new capsule collection. It’s inspired by Solid Gold, an exhibition that explores one of humanity’s most enduring obsessions.
To celebrate this collection, we turned to the heart of the Brooklyn Museum: our vibrant community and team members, seen below modeling the new designs. In this campaign we want to showcase the beauty and history of our 200-year-old Museum, capturing the spaces and people who embody our spirit.
“Solid Gold represents the beauty we all have—and the ways in which we might adorn ourselves to remind us of that beauty in our everyday lives. Gold to me is a reminder of the light and royalty that exists within me. It’s a color, symbol, and material that I hold dear in my way of thinking as a creative and Brooklynite.”
