The Wall Street Journal just published an article validating that buttons are back and of course, we tend to agree! Funny enough, seeing the latest Clicks Keyboard for iPhone ads is one of the reasons the journalist wrote the story. People are tired of pushing flat, emotionless glass to communicate. Real buttons make typing on your phone feel more natural. The feeling of that click, click, click under your thumbs as you express your thoughts and feelings is much more satisfying and engaging.
Kevin Michaluk (aka CrackBerry Kevin), Co-Founder of Clicks, and a well-known button lover, was inspired by the WSJ article to explain the ‘15 Reasons People Still Prefer Buttons on Their Smartphone’. While many of the reasons touch on an improved typing experience, you would be mistaken to believe that is the only benefit to buttons.
