As a green coffee buyer at Counter Culture, I see firsthand how long-term partnerships uplift coffee-growing communities. By committing to buy from the same producers year-after-year—and paying above market prices—we actively invest in the success and resilience of coffee producers and their communities.
Our commitment goes beyond fair pricing. Through our Seeds program, we award grants for impactful community projects. From an agroforestry project in Uganda to solar panels in Colombia, we’ve supported dozens of projects, donating more than $480,000 to date.
So, how do we fund Seeds? Every coffee purchase you make contributes. We set aside a penny per pound of coffee sold to fund this initiative. And during the holiday season, our winter blend, Iridescent, dedicates $1 per pound sold to Seeds.
This Giving Tuesday, Iridescent will double its contribution, donating $2 per pound all day. Treat yourself or someone special to exceptional coffee; knowing your purchase helps coffee producers strengthen their communities and enhance sustainability.
