If you’re reading this, you probably already saw that we just soft-launched our newest
SPRITZ ITALIANO *cue air horns*!!!
If you’ve kept up with us, you know that we don’t treat product launches lightly. We only launch 1-2 flavors a year (max!) which means each flavor takes MONTHS (even years…) to perfect.
Before I get into the backstory, I know some of you are IRL shoppers like me, so here are a few spots you can find Spritz Italiano right now *and thanks to our head of Sales, Ryan, there are many more on the way ;)

Product development is anything but linear, but roughly follows a 3 stage process at De Soi:
- Consumer & trend research: We started this journey with a lot of consumer feedback and market/cocktail trend research. If you get our emails, then you know we are always asking what you like to drink and what you want to see next. We got an overwhelming amount of people looking for a light, refreshing citrusy spritz. Nearly a year ago (!!!), we landed on the concept for Spritz Italiano.
- Formulation: Morgan, Katy, and our director of product, Holly, spent many months back and forth gathering ingredients (we have got to find more photos of Morgan foraging in Central California) and iterating on the formula ingredient by ingredient. After 9 months of perfecting the liquid, we are FINALLY ready to bring it to market and so excited for you to try it first.
- Test & iterate!! We sent out countless samples to our day 1s to get feedback… one of the many perks of being a subscriber hehe.
The final result: Spritz Italiano is amazingly refreshing and balanced with bold citrus & crisp white grape top notes followed by an earthy finish thanks to gentian root (a traditional bittering agent).. not too sweet and not too bitter.
