Hi Friend,
As you may know, we partner with the She Recovers Foundation (SRF) for all things mental health! They support women who are in or seeking recovery. How awesome is that? Did you know we give 1% of all Doughp sales straight to SRF? Double awesome!
SRF has been addressing some important work lately for women that I thought Id' share with you all. On an average day, ninety-seven percent of women say that they dislike their bodies. Acclaimed shame researcher Dr. Brené Brown found that the number one source of shame for women was body and weight.
Anti-fat bias can contribute to the development of disordered eating patterns as individuals experience barriers to recovery because of their body size and strive to conform to societal expectations to be accepted. Many women and non-binary individuals in our community are recovering from body shame and/or disordered eating.
Let's say NO to diet culture & GOODBYE to weight bias by embracing food & body neutrality - because we all deserve to be respected, supported, and loved just as we are.
I supported them as a reviewer of the She Recovers Food & Body Neutrality Philosophy on this topic. I hope you can take a moment to learn more - and that you can learn to love yourself and your body.
Have a Doughp day!
