I realised I used to do all my mailers way back when, and as tours and promo became more intense I stepped away from doing them for whatever reason, but I wanna get back into actually speaking to you guys directly now, so every time you see a mailer, it’s me
The Mathematics tour comes to an end in 2 weeks. After 4 years of this particular tour being on the road, and 15 years of Mathematics albums and singles, it feels like a chapter is closing. I’m kinda nostalgic about it. Not sad per se, just pensive. But mostly super excited about the next chapter.
Play comes out septmeber 12. You’ve heard 4 songs from it so far, but as a body of work I love it. It’s kinda the polar opposite to subtract in terms of subject matter and feel. Very bright, colourful, explorative and exciting. Can’t wait for you to hear every song from it. My fav changes day to day
Other than that, it’s just been tour and studio for me. I did an art exhibition earlier this summer around the ipswich shows, and that was super fun to do. We raised $1.25M usd for my music foundation, which helps fund music projects in the uk, and buys instruments and music lessons for kids who can’t afford them. I’m super chuffed how making art has helped fund more art to be made
