Ever since we started Faherty 10 years ago, my twin brother Mike (our Chief Creative Officer) had always wanted to create his own version of the flannel, by making a shirt that redefined the classic and took softness, comfort and warmth to a whole new level. So like everything else he puts his mind to, he did it. After years of obsessing over it and perfecting it with one of the best mills in Turkey, he showed me the finished product. Mike literally asked me, “Is this thing too soft?” Nope, it was the warmest and most comfortable shirt I’d ever felt. A Legend was born and I knew we were on to something special.
That first year in 2018, we made 200 in our Charcoal Black Buffalo print (that’s still around today) and they sold out in a week. So we made more the next year and added more patterns. It was the same deal: the shirts flew out of stores.
Along the way, we’ve made the Legend better and better, and I’m proud that it’s now crafted from certified lower impact materials, including Repreve® (recycled polyester) and Lenzing™ EcoVero™. So it’s a legend for the planet too.
Five years later and Legend is still our #1 bestseller, with over 1,000 5-star reviews and counting.
