Hello wonderful folks,
This is Becca, cofounder/CEO of Fishwife. I hope today is off to a cozy start and that you find yourself surrounded by good people or good food, or ideally, both.
We’ve been working on building Fishwife for more than three years now, and every day is full of surprises. There are the surprises that come in the form of supply chain disruptions, price increases, website malfunctions, distribution complexities, the list goes on. They’re never-ending and keep us on our toes. But overshadowing them all is the consistent surprise that you all, our friends and our customers, seem to love this business as deeply as we do. We feel it in the warmth and enthusiasm of your words — whether it’s in-person at a grocery store demo, deep in our Instagram DMs, or in the gift notes that many of you have already sent to loved ones this holiday season.
Our team of 4 full-timers and 4 part-timers spend most of our days pouring our energy into creating the tinned fish company of our dreams, motivated by the promise of those sweet words (and constructive criticisms!) we’ll receive from you all on the other end. Thank you for allowing us to keep building this business, thank you for building the business with us. It is a great honor, and we simply could not do it without you.
