Farren Morgan aka The Tactical Athlete is a trainer, fitness expert, former paratrooper, and former member of the British Army’s Queen’s Guard and King’s Guard. He’s also a rucking master and a little insane (in other words, he’s our kind of guy). On March 1, Farren will be setting out to complete the world’s first 25 day, 1000 mile (1609 km) ruck from the southernmost point in England to the northern tip of Scotland. He is is taking on this challenge in partnership with REORG, a charity which supports military, veterans, and first responders in the U.K.
Farren has been training for more than 6 months for this challenge, which will include carrying 35 lbs 40 miles per day (more than a marathon and a half every day). If you’re curious, you can take a look at his training video. Farren summed up his mindset on Instagram as he takes on this challenge:
“Accept the pain. Smile at the pain. Embrace the pain.
