Sometimes I think people forget that weed is fun. Not Sonder! As a longtime fan of their Space Crystals, an infused-version of your favorite childhood candy, I was thrilled to hear they finally released a hemp-derived version featuring 10mg of THC per pouch and available to ship nationwide. (I was even more thrilled when they approached us about stocking them.) I brought a couple pouches out to dinner with friends last week, which four of us split as a perfect and extremely playful amuse bouche for what ended up being a delightful and delicious dinner. Pick up a few of each flavor now and plan to be the life of the party all summer long. (We’re also giving away a free pouch of their Rainbow Brighter flavor, a mind-bending meld of sweet marshmallow and tart raspberry, on all orders over $75, now through July 4th.) -VvP

I feel like this is really a Verena pick as her love for McDonald’s is much stronger than my own, but I appreciate the travel and cultural nature of this project so I’m keeping it for myself. McAtlas is the culmination of James Beard Award-winning Gary He’s several-year journey to 55 countries in six continents, documenting the regional versions of McDonald's all across the world. From the incorporation of local foods and ingredients (which, apparently, now account for 30% of McDonald’s systemwide sales) to the unique and sometimes bizarre store designs, McAtlas promises to highlight the distinct differences and accommodations that pop up when a company tries to be “familiar” for everyone in the whole world. -DW

A few weeks ago, someone posted to r/NoStupidQuestions, “What song makes you feel alive?” While not a stupid question, it is, by its nature, an incredibly subjective and personal one. Still, a lot of commenters found musical common ground, while others put forth obscure tracks that nobody else had ever heard of, let alone made them feel alive. It’s a fun thread to read through, and luckily someone compiled all the suggestions into a giant playlist. It’s got everything from Fleetwood Mac to Jade LeMac, and Soulja Boy to “Sexy Boy.” It’s a truly eclectic mix of music that’s an interesting listen. -DW

I highly recommend this piece—excerpted from New Yorker critic Emily Nussbaum’s new book, Cue The Sun!—to anyone who loves Bravo, misses the OG Real World, or has any sort of interest in past and current iterations of reality programming. I rarely ever read non-fiction but I honestly found Nussbaum’s feature so engrossing and full of background details that I just may make an exception for this one. (Early reviews indicate that might be the right choice!) -VvP

In my opinion, one of the best bits of feedback we ever got was when someone said they couldn’t believe they get great parenting recommendations from their weed newsletter. That really meant the world to me. So, here’s my latest suggestion in that vein: Melissa & Doug Jumbo Triangular Crayons. If you think crayons are interchangeable and basically all the same, you’re dead wrong. Some are too brittle, some roll away too easily, some are uncomfortable to use—the list goes on. These crayons, however, are perfect. They’ve now withstood multiple trips, multiple cousins, and said cousins throwing them at each other as hard as they can. They are seemingly indestructible without being bulky and cumbersome. Plus they come in a great case and don’t roll away due to their three-sidedness. For what it’s worth, these are probably also great for non-parents who just like to color things to chill out. -DW
