Coaching vs. Therapy
|
Therapy and coaching are both helpful ways to take care of your mental health, but how are they different?
Therapy is more about deep exploration. You get to dive into ongoing psychological symptoms or patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions with a licensed clinician. With mental health coaching, it’s more about working towards your goals with support from a coach. They can help you create a personalized plan, or give you the support you need to navigate everyday stress and anxiety or life challenges like loss or relationships.

How does coaching work?

Sign up. When you’re ready, click “Get started” below and answer a few questions about yourself. Once you’ve successfully signed up, be sure to download the Headspace app from your app store.

Schedule your first appointment. Navigate to the Care tab in the app to schedule your session. Consistency is key when seeking support, so choose a day and time that can remain the same each week.

Check in. When it’s time for your session, head to the Care tab in the app to begin. Have a goal in mind so you can work with your coach to create a personalized plan that keeps you on track to accomplish your goals.

Do I need a Headspace subscription to sign up for coaching?
|
|
Yes, all coaching subscriptions must have an active Headspace subscription. However, we’re currently offering a free Headspace subscription when signing up for coaching. When you sign up you'll get access to both Headspace content and three 30-minute coaching sessions.
