🦈 BAPE Is Bringing Back the Original Shark Hoodie
TLDR:
This year, A Bathing Ape (BAPE) is celebrating the 20th
anniversary of its signature Shark Full-Zip Hoodie, a landmark
streetwear silhouette that became synonymous with the Nigo-founded label
for its avant-garde face-covering feature and sharp-toothed face.
Why
It Matters: To ring in the milestone, the Japanese label is
re-releasing the first and second editions of the monumental design in a
slew of archival colorways and with all the original design details. In
the collection, the first-edition Word Gone Mad (WGM) design includes
the old FrankenApe branding alongside the “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape”
tagline. Made from thick US cotton, the silhouette employs the flagship
model’s woodland camo print across five different colorways. Meanwhile,
the second-edition hoodie, which also comes in five hues, hosts the
Point Of No Return (PONR) acronym from 2005 across the back of the hood,
as well as a specially designed thermal lining.

🪨 Check Out Tom Sachs' Nike Mars Yard 3.0 Wear-Test Sample
TLDR:
After Sachs “demonstrated and recommitted to fostering a culture
of respect and inclusivity,” Nike announced that it would be teaming up
with the artist to introduce the Mars Yard 3.0 in 2025.
Why
It Matters: While we’ve yet to step into 2025, an early look
at a wear-test sample of the sequel has emerged. It dons the typical
all-black finish that wear-tests are prepared in while lacking any
branding elements. As with 2017’s Mars Yard 2.0, much of the sneaker
remains the same. However, based on this single-image preview, there are
several adjustments worth noting. The toe cap has been slightly raised
with a new layer of reinforcement while the lacing system lacks its
predecessors’ lowermost level.Keep in mind that none of these changes
are final and look out for more previews of the forthcoming project to
surface in the months to come.

🦇 Kith Readies Its Largest Collection Ever With Batman
TLDR:
Kith has linked up with Warner Bros. to celebrate the 85th
anniversary of Batman’s debut in 1939’s Detective Comics #27. The
collection, which is the largest ever to be released by Kith, nods to
“the Dark Knight’s role as a symbol of determination, courage, and
justice,” according to the brand.
Why
It Matters: The lineup includes apparel, accessories and
lifestyle goods sporting artwork from eight Batman films, including
Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, The Dark
Knight Trilogy by Christopher Nolan, and The Batman (2022). Among the
standouts, the Wayne Industries Moto Jacket employs heavy Nappa
sheepskin leather on a biker-inspired silhouette with Wayne Industries’
logo on the chest. Elsewhere, the Joker Wool Coaches Jacket hosts custom
artwork of The Joker on premium heavyweight double-face wool, and
T-shirts highlight more characters from across Gotham City, including
Robin, Bane and Catwoman.

TLDR:

16 road running shoes by Brooks and Saturdays NYC is now available.
Why
It Matters: In collaboration with Saturdays NYC, Brooks
updates its best-selling shoe, the Ghost 16, aiming the sporty
silhouette at avid runners. Saturdays NYC, an apparel and lifestyle
brand based in New York City, adds its unique touch to the model through
reflective elements on the laces and heels as an ode to NYC’s man-made
architecture and the city’s animated nightlife. Inspired by New York
City’s classic cityscapes and the organic textures found in nature, from
geometric water patterns to topographical maps, the Ghost 16 sneaker
