👻 Smile 2 x Valas Partner for Spooky Season
TLDR:
Smile 2 x Valas partnered up to create limited edition hats and mechanic jackets taking Valas’ iconic “Smile” look and morphing it to match SMILE 2’s chilling sinister grin.
Why
It Matters: Valas Los Angeles launched in 2012 with the intention of building beauty out of the turmoil that life sometimes brings. Having lost her father as a child and a dear friend in 2010, Karina Salmeron set out to make sense of it all through artwork that came off of the canvas and turned into beautiful, one-of-a-kind accessories and shoes. Valas Co-Founder claims that the collaboration with Paramount was a dream, claiming that “coming from a modest household in The Bay, watching movies was a way for us to get together and forget the problems of the world. This collaboration is special because it blends horror, our family’s favorite genre, and our brand’s identity that is heavily tied to the smiley face,” and “the horror aspect of the Smile movies pushed me to explore a different side of my creativity. Changing our usual happy smile design into a sinister smile, while still providing that Valas look, touch, and quality.”
Smile 2 hits theatres this Friday, October 18. Get your tickets HERE.
