Tonight in my convention speech, I talked about the choice in this election and why it’s so important to elect Kamala Harris the next President of the United States.
I’ve known Kamala for a long time. And I know she will uphold our Constitution, not circumvent it; defend our democracy, not undermine it; protect our freedoms, not take them away; and bring us together, not tear us apart.
Folks, now I’m asking you to join me -- to place your trust in Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and to believe that they are the right people to lead this country forward.

The decisions we make in November will determine the direction of our country for generations to come.
On one side is Vice President Kamala Harris. The daughter of immigrants, Kamala's life story is a testament to the fact that America has a place for everyone. And she’s spent her career trying to create more opportunities for every American.
Kamala's earned our trust, and that's why she's going to make a fantastic president.
As a prosecutor, a senator, and a vice president, Kamala took on corruption, fought to give ordinary folks a chance, and pursued policies that have made a real difference in people's lives.
On the other side is Donald Trump. Donald Trump doesn’t care about you. He just cares about himself. And so he’s going to do whatever his rich donors and Republican politicians tell him to do -- not what you need him to do.
Donald Trump doesn't have the capacity to put the country before himself.
He talks about terminating the Constitution, acting as a dictator, giving America's adversaries free rein to invade our allies. He brags about overturning the right to choose. He jokes about making his billionaire donors happy while middle class families suffer the consequences.
Folks, we can't go back to the drama and chaos of four years ago. It’s time to turn the page.
