It's Liah! 👋 I've been wanting to write this one for a while. Honestly, because I wasn't sure we could pull it off the way I imagined it.
When we first released Lip Barrier Relief as a gift-with-purchase, the messages wouldn't stop. "Please bring it back." "Can I buy this somewhere?" I kept reading them, thinking, okay, we have to do this. But I didn't want to just relaunch it. I wanted to make it actually better and more intentional.
So here's the thing about our lip skin that not enough people talk about: it's naturally thinner with no oil glands to help protect it. That makes your lip barrier inherently weaker and more sensitive, and way more deserving of real barrier care than a quick swipe of petroleum jelly - which is a useful occlusive ngl.
We went back to the formula and upgraded it.

And the new addition I'm most excited about: upcycled almond shell extract
That last part is where it gets meaningful. Every year, millions of pounds of almond shells get discarded after harvest. We found a way to rescue that waste and turn it into something worth keeping. And it became the first chapter of something bigger, we're calling Waste Not the Farm, where once-discarded ingredients are reborn into formulas that are actually worth making.
We also wanted this launch to give back in a real way. Right now, with federal funding cuts threatening SNAP benefits for nearly 1.8 million New Yorkers, food insecurity in our home city has never felt more urgent. The Farmlink Project rescues fresh surplus produce from farms and gets it directly to communities that need it most. And you voted on who we'd support. I love that we got to decide that together. So for every Lip Barrier Relief sold, 50% of proceeds will be donated to The Farmlink Project.
