Tariffs…Tariffs…Tariffs. I feel like it’s all I’m hearing and speaking about these days. I’ve personally been pretty vocal out there speaking to the press and politicians. But I also know that for most parents it feels unclear at best and bleak at worst. That’s why I’m reaching out today. I want to give you an unfiltered look into what tariffs mean for you as a parent, but also how it is impacting Lalo.
As a company founded by 2 dads (Greg is about to have his 3rd!!!), we get it. There’s lots to buy, there’s lots of new expenses, and personal finances and all these purchases are starting to feel like advanced calculus. We’re going to demystify this for you. Every Tuesday until there is clarity (hopefully soon), you can find me in your inbox with an update on what we’re hearing and what we’re doing. There will be no surprise price changes, no surprise out of stocks. We’re also going live next Tuesday with a Q&A session with me on Tuesday, May 13, at 1-2 PM ET where I’ll be answering your questions directly. Whether you’re curious about how tariffs work, why they matter, or how we’re making decisions, I hope you’ll join me.
So now to kickoff Tariff Tuesdays (yes it’s ridiculous to brand something like this, but tbh sometimes we just need to laugh right now), here’s our first update:
Lalo Update:
- As of now we are not raising prices in May. We are currently running scenarios of what products might need to have higher prices, but there is nothing coming in the next 4 weeks.
- Some items are starting to run low on stock. If you don’t see it at meetlalo.com we suggest you check out our partners Target, Babylist, or Amazon who may have stock even if our site is sold out.
