Hey friend
There's something special about the ritual of learning to shave. For many of us, it was a father or father figure who first showed us how—standing at the bathroom mirror, demonstrating careful strokes, explaining why you go with the grain first.
Maybe it was your dad, maybe it was an uncle, grandfather, or mentor who stepped into that role. Or perhaps you figured it out on your own, creating your own version of this daily ritual.
Whoever taught you—or however you learned—there's something powerful about these moments of guidance that help shape who we become. The patience required, the attention to detail, the understanding that taking care of yourself matters.
Father's Day is this weekend, and it's a chance to appreciate the men who showed up in our lives as teachers, protectors, and guides. Whether they taught us to shave, to drive, to throw a ball, or simply to be kind—these lessons stick with us.
For those lucky enough to have had that guidance, it's worth celebrating. And for those who became their own teachers, there's strength in that journey too. Take a moment this weekend to appreciate the guidance that shaped you, wherever it came from.
Wishing you a great Father’s Day,
