Our Give Where You Live blood drive sweepstakes, in partnership with the American Red Cross, for the one-of-a-kind ESP Snakebyte designed by Squindo and signed by the band, saw entries flooding in across the country. Among the eligible participants in the running, David from San Francisco was randomly selected as the winner and presented with his prize during an already scheduled blood donation appointment this week!
“I feel lucky that I can help others in need by donating blood. Many of my family members are in the medical field, and I get to hear all about how these donations really do save lives. As a long-time Metallica fan, I am super stoked to be winning this amazing prize. As a kid, I would often sneak into my older sister's room and borrow her cassettes of Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. The Black Album was the first CD I ever bought. So, winning a signed guitar is like a dream come true.”
David is one of the many members of the Metallica Family who have helped us collect nearly 40,000 critical blood donations since our #BleedingMe drives began during the M72 World Tour in April 2025. It was an absolute honor to be recognized as the Visionary Partner of the Year at the Red Cross Gala last weekend. Giving back as a united, engaged community has always been at the core of All Within My Hands, and working alongside the Red Cross has shown us just how powerful that can be.
