The newest Metallica Black Box exhibit celebrates the visual medium that has become inextricably linked to the music industry: posters. From gig souvenirs to promotional fliers to limited edition variants, each is a work of art in its own right. Over the course of four releases, we’ll journey through past interpretations of Metallica, with the final exhibit serving as the definitive collection of our posters, all under one proverbial roof.

NEW LIMITED RELEASE IN THE MET STORE
Inspired by “Enter Sandman,” “Ride the Lightning,” “The Unforgiven,” and “...And Justice for All,” artist Rhys Cooper created this four-poster series for the side panels of the 2024 Stern x Metallica Remastered pinball machines. This copper variant series of the art is available to Fifth Members as a set in the Metallica Store and Probity UK Shop. Quantities are limited—don’t wait!

EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP
New to the Metallica Black Box Collection in the Met Store are autographed platinum award plaques commemorating Kill ’Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, …And Justice for All, and The Black Album (30th Anniversary multi-platinum), along with the previously available St. Anger. Available exclusively to Fifth Members, the plaques are signed by all four members of Metallica (James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo), feature a personalized engraved inscription plate, and include a Definitive Authentic Certificate of Authenticity. |
