Hi,
This is Harry, co-founder and President of Mill.
We started Mill because we thought it was absolutely bonkers that food was the single largest type of material in landfills (25% per US EPA).
The goal was to develop a product that made it easy to prevent uneaten food from going to waste — and to keep it as a resource.
So we designed Mill to fit nicely into your kitchen, eat anything you didn’t eat, take forever to fill up (for us it’s like a month), not smell *at all* — and turn those food scraps into a resource overnight.
Fast forward to today: Mill food recyclers are in tens of thousands of homes. We’ve processed over ten million pounds of scraps. People all across the country are finding ways to keep food in the food system — as a fertilizer in their gardens, as a treat for their neighbors’ chickens, or as a resource for local farms and composting operations.
Right now, while our Labor Day sale is still on, you can save $125 when you buy a Mill. The sale won’t last long, so if you’ve been thinking about getting one, now’s a great time.

I really hope you give Mill a try (I’m biased, but I think you’ll love it!). Please write back with any questions. We’re ready with answers!
And remember — it’s only waste if we waste it.
Harry
