What I've learned about goal setting.
Hey there.
Goals have been a fundamental part of my life since childhood. They've kept me moving forward through some of the most challenging times in my life.
The two big lessons I've learned are that you need a balance of big goals and small goals.
The small ones are like steps up a mountain. They keep you moving.
The big goals are the mountains.
You don't need to know every intricate detail of your big goals. Just trust in the steps you need to take and keep your eyes and mind open to all opportunities that cross your path.
Here is a true story. I'll keep it short.
In 2012, I told myself I was going to publish a book. I'd never really read a book, let alone know how to write one. It seemed impossible.
Four years later, in 2016, I launched MindJournal as a crowdfunding campaign. Six months later, Penguin Random House offered me a book deal. One year later, in 2017, I became a published author.
If I can do it, you can do it.
If it seems possible, it's not big enough.
So what's your impossible goal?
