it had to look good and I wanted it to sound good. Had only 2" clearance behind the face of the drywall. I built a ring of 1x wood. OD is speaker diameter, ID is cutout diameter. Painted to match wall. Looks good, sounds good. Speakers are very clean sound. Crisp highs, good midrange. Used for surrounds and back surrounds. Can aim the tweeters toward the normal sitting position."
