| One of the great things about our ovens is how portable they are, so you never have to be without them!
If you’ve ever taken your Ooni out into the wild before, then you know how much of a thrill it is to enjoy fresh pizza whilst you’re camping, sitting lakeside or on the beach. If you haven’t, then perhaps these tips will give you the confidence to give it a try. | | | Our tips will prepare you for any trip that involves your beloved Ooni. Here is a brief overview, but we do recommend that you watch our video in full to get all the information that you need. | | 1 | Packing Up and Transporting: Take your stone out and wrap it in a blanket to keep it protected on its grand voyage. It’s like your baby, after all. We also recommend travelling light and only taking the accessories that you truly need, or that have dual purposes. For example, our prep and proof pack can store dough balls, whilst the bamboo lid makes a fantastic chopping or serving board.
| 2 | Set Up: We pride ourselves on our ovens working in almost any climate. But with that being said, the flame inside does not love high winds, so pick a semi sheltered spot for your Ooni. Try to make sure that it is clear of any trip hazards on steady ground, and set up at a safe height if you’re with small children or animals. Our folding table is perfect for this.
| 3 | Cooking: Now it’s time to cook! For ease, we suggest that you take and bake. Prepare your dough in advance or even bring pre-baked bases. We’ll allow it just this once. You can take a look at our classic pizza dough and sauce recipes. Our frozen dough balls are perfect for this!
