Hi there, Summer isn’t always as easy on dogs as it looks. Most owners think about keeping their dog cool when the weather gets hotter, but they don’t always think about everything else that changes too. Different walks, more time outdoors, maybe even some swimming. More exposure to grass, pollen, insects and things they don’t normally come into contact with. That’s why we often notice things like itching, digestive upset, or sensitivities more during the summer months. Most of the time, there’s no specific problem to solve. It’s just a reminder that dogs are constantly responding to what’s happening around them. That’s one of the reasons I’ve always believed so strongly in preventative care. Not because it prevents every issue, but: It’s much easier to support your dog consistently than wait until something has your attention. It helps you stay one step ahead of small issues before they become bigger ones. It helps your dog adapt when routines, environments, and seasons change.
That’s really the philosophy Scooch was built on, and it’s still what guides everything we do today. If you’re looking to support your dog through the summer months, you can explore our approach here: Baris Founder, Scooch 🐾
