Happy January 2025, friends!
Fun fact: the month of January is named for the Roman god Janus, god of transitions, doors, choices, and time. He was depicted as having two heads, one looking to the past, and the other looking into the future.
The new year comes with lots of changes, some we choose for ourselves, and others that we can only choose how to face. We, for one, choose to face them with a damn fine cup of coffee in hand.

We taste notes of dark cherry, fig newton, and cinnamon, with an undercurrent of sweet molasses
In our celebration of new beginnings and flipping scripts, we recommend this coffee from Oaxaca that challenges the typical coffee farming practices of the region!
The Sierra Mazateca range of Oaxaca is home to some of the most vibrant coffees in Mexico. Coffee farms in the area commonly consist of small plots of land that are managed as a family effort, with a male head-of-household typically receiving all the credit (and payment). This community lot challenges that norm, with a superb cup quality that shines a spotlight on women doing great work. We're loving the subtle fruit tones + sweet, medium-bodied approachability of this coffee, and we're betting you will too.
