| Q: Tell us about a memorable experience, object, or moment from last year. |
Maggie: This year I absolutely loved watching Paradise, and also Squid Game: The Challenge (Season 2). Mainly because I'm a big fan of any show where you really get to see the full range of human emotions and behaviours in unpredictable situations - both scripted and unscripted. I also watched a few great Skillshare classes but my favourite was the Secrets to Growing a Successful YouTube Channel by Jordy Vandeput. I learned an enormous amount that I was able to apply to my own channel and will definitely watch more classes by Jordy in 2026.
And I really wish I could say I got to read more books but with the arrival of my daughter this year and me now having two kids under the age of three, unless there was a very hungry caterpillar on the cover... I probably didn't read it.
That being said, I have really leaned into listening to audiobooks and podcasts on the go, and there have been some incredibly eye-opening episodes of The Diary of a CEO, which have helped to shift things in my life and business in 2025. |

| Q: How do you like to start your year? Are there any rituals or routines that help you set the tone for the months ahead? |
| Maggie: On New Year's Eve my husband Nick and I always sit down to make a list of our “life plans” for the year ahead. We write down our hopes and goals for our family, travel plans, personal development, finances, etc, and we then design a big A3 poster with everything on it, which lives on our fridge for the year. We also review our plans from the previous year and talk about what went well and what we could have done differently. It sounds super structured, which isn't usually my vibe but it's really helped to keep us on track over the years. Plus I usually make the poster pretty fun and colourful so it's fun to look at and talk about with our kids. Last year the theme was fun ocean animals and we learned that any big life goals feel way less intimidating when you surround them with silly looking crabs. |
