Noora grew up in rural Finland, but always dreamed big.
Her entrepreneur dad taught her early that you don’t have to wait for great things to happen. You can build them yourself.
After five years at Slush, Noora leads with a clear vision:
“For the sake of future Europeans, we cannot settle for mediocrity. Startups are our best bet for growth, and we need new global success stories in technology. Not someday. Not somewhere else. Here. Now,” Noora emphasizes.
Europe hasn’t felt this exciting for decades
European tech is already growing faster than other sectors at an annual rate of 8%, and we’re only at the start of the Golden Age of European startups. We have what it takes; we just need to rewire our thinking to believe it’s possible.
At Slush, we care about startups because regions that build new tech companies are the ones that will prosper over the next 20 years. That’s why startups must be taken seriously in Europe.
“The goal is simple: by 2050, at least two European tech companies are in the global top 10 by market cap. It’s not about a lack of potential, but daring to build the best possible environment for startups”, Noora says.
Slush 2026: More signal and less noise
This year, we move with urgency and focus to maximize impact for early-stage startups.
We’re bringing in 10% fewer attendees to deliver a more tailored experience. Expect sharper content and personal recommendations from our team on how to make the most out of your time.
