Hi ,
Labor Day weekend often feels like summer’s curtain call, so it’s only right to squeeze in outdoors time with one last BBQ, one last beach day, one last sun soak. We sent out an in-depth 2-part newsletter on sunburn 101 + how to care for them last month, so hopefully that info came in handy. But if fun got in the way (fair), here’s a quick routine to help your skin recover after the long weekend. The goal: keep it simple.
☝️ Cleanse with Comfort Cleanse. Sunscreen, sweat, sand, mystery substances—gone, without stripping. With 25% glycerin and baby-wash surfactants, it cleanses gently while leaving hydration behind. Rinse and repeat if you need to, but avoid aggressive scrubbing.
✌️ Rehydrate with Speed Soak. Think: first rainfall after a drought. This cooling gel-cream (feels extra nice out the fridge) replenishes skin’s water reserves, helping parched, sun-stressed skin bounce back. It doesn’t have any exfoliants or actives so it won’t irritate already angry skin—it’s purely focused on deep hydration.

Once your burn fully heals, you can bring exfoliants and hard-hitting actives like Buffing Bar, Smoothing Solution, Clearing Mist, and Software Update back into the rotation. Even Carea Cream, which is generally very gentle, may sting if used on a sensitized skin barrier (like a sunburn), so tread carefully.
So you can make better decisions in the future (we know it’s hard), read the full 2-part newsletter on sun safety/care mentioned above here: 🌞️ Part 1, 🧊 Part 2.
Giddy for spooky season,
xx Karina
