It was the early 90s when Fumey Chatelain had a vineyard on the rise, then nearly lost everything to frost. So what to do? Raphaël and Adeline puckered up and started making some of the best drops around from what they had left. Borrowed barrels, the help of local families. A brave start to their bold Domaine. Like so many Jura wines, there's a little quirk factor here, but they're endlessly endearing.

All these years later, Marin (their son), Raphaël and Adeline are still at the mercy of Mother Nature, but you’d never guess it from their precision and purity. A nervy freshness runs through the range and seamless acidity that makes these wines both immediate and enduring. So why fight the urge? Consider this your permission slip

Sick of Champagne? Probably not, but were you inclined to cast an eye across to Jura regardless, you'd find this simply sensational Cremant du Jura Blanc Brut well-rewards a wandering palate. Chardonny fruit is gently basket pressed and wild-fermented. Toasty nuts, briny finish, honey, butter, bread.
PROFILE: Orange, Honey, Nuts, Buttery, Toast.
STYLE: Elegant & Savoury.

A zesty new bestie. Zippy citrus, smoothed over; a la lemon curd. There's powerful bristling acid, pithy complexity and a little waxiness coating the mouth. A little skinsy snap. Organic fruit, from Jura— that oft-overlooked region that's baby in the corner no longer.
PROFILE: Lemon, Green Apple, Mineral, White Flowers, Smoke.
STYLE: Fun & Lively.

This is classic Jura goodness, racing with minerality and dancing with freshness. Maybe it’s not the Chardy you know. Or maybe, Jura fans, it is. From multiple vineyards surrounding Montigny and Arbois. White flowers, vibrant acid.
PROFILE: Lemon, Green Apple, Minteral, White Flowers, Smoke.
STYLE: Full & Lively.

This wine is destined for greatness from the outset. Only the best Savagnin barrels make it to “Vin Jaune”. And only the best vineyards are picked for it too. Aged for over 6 years in barrel, it’s hard to describe the complexities going on.
PROFILE: Nuts, Cinnamon, Spice, Saline, Mineral.
STYLE: Esoteric & Skinsy.

Making some of the best drops around, this drinks like a local’s Ploussard: pure and fresh, good length, a bit of earth, perhaps a touch of maraschino cherry.

Organic, from Jura, this is Quality Street. Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Ploussard come together in a decidedly enigmatic red blend. A little earthy, gamey character creeps in. Dark brooding cherry with lovely linger across the palate. Something a little different to pour alongside chops and mint jelly.
PROFILE: Black Cherry, Mineral, Spice, Earthy, Wild Strawberry.
STYLE: Bright & Juicy.
