Happy New Year from the warehouse.
Jared’s off doing whatever it is people with annual leave do, so it’s just us, Dave and Jim, holding things together. We’re the ones stacking shelves, picking & packing your orders, and occasionally “checking” bottles (purely for quality control) *wink wink*.
While he’s away, we figured we’d throw together a quick Wrap-Up of what’s been flying out the door lately, straight from where the bottles actually live.
First up, the bubbles. I remember when we started to pack a lot of
these bottles all of a sudden. We got really curious…Clean, crisp, quietly very good bubbles. We opened one “for research” and it didn’t last long. When Broc tasted the sample, he kept topping up his glass and walking around the warehouse nodding. That felt like a pretty strong review.
Then there’s
the Chardonnay. It’s just classic. No tricks, no heavy oak, nothing trying too hard. We swear we’ve restocked
this one more times than we can count, but word has it there’s very little left of this vintage.
Last but not least,
the Riesling. We finished packing for the week and had a bottle tucked in the fridge all afternoon for a knockoff. Fresh, lively, all energy. The kind of wine that makes you want to throw the roller door open and put the radio on a bit louder.
Jared also asked us to mention there are still a few
Summer Special bottles online. We’ve put a small stash aside for “team morale”, but there’s a bit left if you’re quick.
Anyway, we’ll get back to packing, stacking, and probably tasting a few more for good measure.
Cheers,
Dave & Jim
