Hope you had a lovely week. As always, I’m going to Wrap-Up this week’s best happenings for your 60-second reading pleasure.
If you haven't had wines from
this Italian region nestled in the Dolomites, you've gotta get up to speed. One of the greats, this producer knows the patch well. This
variety can be subtle, but theirs absolutely
packs in the character. It'd be irresponsible not to mention to this
underrated grape as well. Must-try.
Another one out of Italy that’s built up a
big following. From a small site in Sicily, it gets
people talking wherever it lands. Delicate, floral, mineral. Not a whole heap to go around.
Broc’s been on this producer all week—one of his
go-tos. Comes out of the Macedon Ranges, it’s cool, exposed, and at times unforgiving. But that’s why these wines have
big energy and freshness. Funny how brutal landscapes often produce complex drinking.
Top of their game.
People coming over? Park hang? Bit of sun about?
This is your bottle. The man can do no wrong. I'm particularly fond of
this one.
