As my first year as Sonos' CEO comes to a close, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be part of the Sonos community, and I just want to say thank you. You’ve invited our work into your homes and into your lives, and that’s a privilege I never take for granted.
I also know we’ve recently fallen well short of the standard you expect from us, and that we expect of ourselves. There have been many moments this year that reminded us how much your trust matters. I joined the company driven by the desire to make things right, to make sure we learn from all of this, to grow from it, and to ensure that we never repeat the same mistakes again.
The holiday season always slows me down a bit. It gives me space to listen, not just to music, but to what our products mean to people. How a single note can shift your mood, and a familiar song can take you back in time. For all the technology we build, it’s those deeply human experiences that matter most.
Part of what drew me to Sonos was its reverence for the artistry of sound – the belief that listening can transform how we feel, connect, and live. This idea remains at the heart of what we do.
Over the past year, we’ve been reconnecting with that core while building what’s next, and refining the full experience of listening. The feeling of a room that sounds just right. The ease of moving music from one space to another. The quiet satisfaction when everything just works.
This is the start of a new era for Sonos, and it’s shaped by everything we’ve learned from you: your honesty, your passion, your moments of joy and frustration alike. We’re moving forward with clear focus, energy, and confidence in what’s ahead.
From all of us at Sonos, thank you for being part of our story. I hope this season brings you time to rest and to rediscover – again and again – the joy of listening.
Warmly,
