Gathering Is a Call to Action
|
This summer we’re pulling back the curtain on Sundance Labs by sharing letters from the program heads on the Institute's vital work to support artists. Join us in supporting that mission by donating to Sundance now.
“Every time we gather at a Sundance Lab, it’s a call to action and a statement of purpose. We cultivate the flame of creativity and freedom of expression.”
With the 2024 Directors Lab in the rearview mirror and the Screenwriters Lab taking place, we asked Ilyse McKimmie to reflect on what makes the Sundance Labs unlike any others — and what keeps them going decade after decade. As the Deputy Director of the Institute’s Feature Film Program, McKimmie has a unique insight on what makes these labs so effective, and where they’re going in the future.
