Hi,
If you’re training regularly—especially if you’re over 40—you’d do just about anything to keep your joints, tendons, and ligaments healthy so you can keep pushing hard.
That’s the promise of collagen. But here’s the problem—most collagen on the market is garbage. The stuff you find at Whole Foods or on Amazon might help your hair and nails, but it does next to nothing for you as an athlete.
I get fired up about this because collagen does work—if you’re using the right kind. There are real studies proving its benefits for soft-tissue repair, tendon and ligament health, and even cartilage regrowth. But every study that shows those results used specific high-grade, patented collagen forms.
That is not what’s in the generic grocery store collagens.
Most cheap collagens are a random mix of protein strand lengths. But as an athlete, you need specific strand lengths to penetrate soft tissue and stimulate repair.
Here’s what you actually need:
There are two patented collagen types that matter for athletes: Fortigel® and Tendoactive®. These are clinically proven to help repair tendons, ligaments, and cartilage—especially as you get older.
The only product with both of these is SwissRX Collagen (it also has Mobilee®, a pure form of Hyaluronic Acid to improve joint mobility). Pillar Collagen has both types of collagen, and Momentous Collagen Peptides has just the Fortigel® variant of collagen.
If you’ve got tendonitis, muscle tears, or achy joints—especially knees—try SwissRX Collagen for a month and see if it helps.

Want to know more, here are all the details:
How to Take It
Each morning I put one scoop with SwissRX Gut Defense in milk or hot water. I also add it to my protein shake if I haven't already taken it in the morning.
What does it taste like?
It is odorless and tasteless. You won't notice in your coffee or recovery shake. If you put it in a glass of water, note that it is a slightly strange mouthfeel that I don't love.
When to Take It
I don't worry too much about when I take it, as long as I take one Scoop per day. The studies show that it is very well absorbed in the gut. Studies suggest taking it 45 minutes before training for maximum absorption into soft tissue. Some research even suggests it could have a protective effect against injuries.
Does it help with Inflammation / Recovery?
YES! This is one of the benefits that is seldom mentioned. Collagen can also be a potent anti-inflammatory and one of the reasons I like adding it to a recovery shake. Also why I take it when I'm injury free and my joints feel great.
Do You Need Vitamin C?
You have probably heard that you should take Vitamin C with Collagen, and that is true. It helps with absorption. SwissRX Collagen already has 100mg of Vitamin C, so you don't need to take extra.
What If I’m Vegan or Plant-Based?
Check out SwissRX Pre-Collagen, that is vegan and has the 3 key amino acids used to form collagen, plus patented hyaluronic acid, MSM, and minerals like Zinc and vitamin C, you can address collagen creation at it's roots and encourage your body's own generation of collagen.
Give it a try, and let me know how it works for you
