Hi,
I have a bit of an addiction. I buy every new pair of headphones that come out, convinced that this will be the perfect pair.
Bose, Beats, Sony—you name it, I’ve tried them. And when they don’t measure up to my Shokz, I end up passing them off to my team at The Feed.
When it comes to training, Shokz is the only choice for me—and I’m pumped to finally have them available for you on The Feed.
I’ve tried every model, so I’ve narrowed it down to the ones that actually deliver.
The biggest reason I love Shokz? Safety. The open-ear design is a game-changer for running, riding, or any outdoor workout where you need to stay aware of your surroundings.
Plus, no more annoying echo of your own heartbeat in sealed headphones—that drives me nuts.
And because I want The Feed to be the place to buy Shokz (and other gear), I’m giving you $10 in Feed Credit when you spend $100 or more.
My Top Picks
🚀 OpenRun Pro 2 ($179 + $10 Feed Credit) – My Go-To
These are my daily drivers for running and riding. The open-ear design plus bone conduction tech makes the bass actually feel like it’s part of your music—helps me push the pace when training.
Super light, and after a few minutes, you forget they’re even on.
Fit tip: There’s a Regular and Mini size. I have a pretty average-sized head (Medium/Large in helmets), and I prefer the Mini—it’s a slightly snugger fit, and the back strap doesn’t hit my neck when running.
🔥 OpenFit Air ($119 + $10 Feed Credit) – Best Value
These are different—no back strap, just two individual earpieces that hook over your ears with a tiny speaker on the outside.
If you don’t like the feel of the OpenRun’s back strap, these are a killer alternative. The sound is louder than the OpenRun, but no bone conduction.
Pro tip: There’s a more expensive version of OpenFit ($179), but honestly? You don’t need it. I didn’t even order that model for The Feed—the OpenFit Air is $60 cheaper and just as good.
🏊 OpenSwim Pro ($179 + $10 Feed Credit) – Waterproof for Swimming
These are just like the OpenRun Pro 2, but fully waterproof. If you’re a swimmer, these are a no-brainer, but plenty of athletes grab them just for the waterproof durability.
Hidden bonus: They hold 8,000 MP3s, so you can use them without a phone—perfect for swimming, backcountry runs, or just not carrying extra gear. Worth the effort to load up your favorite playlists.
Whatever model you go with, you can’t go wrong with Shokz. Let me know what you think once you try them!
