This preset splits the guitar into four frequency bands, each with its own amp. Because the bands focus on a limited range of frequencies, then adds them together, the sound is huge, powerful, and smooth—power chords sound defined, not harsh and fizzy. Even better, your guitar will have a wide stereo image, without phase or delay issues.

Make sure the guitar audio is stereo or dual mono, then choose from a greatest hits of guitar amp sounds. The Amp Type control in this preset chooses from 23 different amps. Each amp has two Cabs. Cab 1 chooses one of 16 cabs for the main cab. All amps have Drive and tone stack controls (Bass, Treble, Mid, & Presence) in common. A Spring Reverb rounds out the chain for some ambience, while a Master Volume trims the output. And don’t be afraid to turn up the Treble! The sound just gets brighter, not harsher.

Once you’ve experienced the sound of multiband distortion, you’ll not only have a premier amp sim sound—but a sound that even conventional tube amps can’t deliver.
