In honor of Delta Air Lines’ 100th anniversary, this April’s Global Volunteer Month was more meaningful than ever. Across the globe, Delta employees led with heart, completing over 100 service events that reflected the airline’s enduring commitment to community and servant leadership.
In Austin, Delta volunteers made a tangible impact through two standout events:
April 25 & 26: KIPP Paseo Preparatory School
Volunteers joined the school’s Spring Fling festivities by painting wooden airplanes, which were later installed as a vibrant mural, adding color and inspiration to the school’s halls.
April 29: Junior Achievement of Austin
Students got a behind-the-scenes look at airport operations during a Job Shadow Day, offering them a unique glimpse into aviation careers and sparking future aspirations.
These efforts are part of a broader initiative that saw over 4,400 Delta volunteers contribute more than 8,600 hours of service across 155 events worldwide. |
